I. SCHUMANN & COMPANY LAUNCHES BIWALITE™ C83470
Cleveland, Ohio–June 16, 2014—I. Schumann & Co. LLC, brass and bronze ingot maker, recycler and supplier to the global foundry industry announces the product launch and availability of Biwalite™ C83470 to the North American and global markets. The alloy has received ASTM designation for B-30, B-584 and B-505 specifications.
Biwalite, a licensed product, may be sourced directly from Schumann and/or its sub-licensees. Biwalite is a lead free, bismuth-free and silicon-free copper alloy.
According to David Schumann, executive vice president, “Biwalite is the best alternative for lead-free options as it offers a sustainable solution due to its recyclability. The time is right to bring this alloy to market. Biwalite will broaden our product line and offer our customers a greener and more sustainable lead-free copper alloy.”
